Further to earning a Registered Psychologist designation in Brazil (2011) and practicing over the past 12 years, I am presently a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C 21-051) in the unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People in Nova Scotia. Additionally, I have a Master of Arts in Global Development from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, NS. My research focus was specific to the social ecology of resilience and gender-based violence. I am currently a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I hold a postgraduate degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the University of Sao Paulo (USP).
I offer counselling sessions grounded in evidence-based practices, integrating trauma-informed, holistic, intersectional, and culturally humility approaches. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, I am deeply committed to sustainability, grassroots movements, diverse cultures, and continuous learning. These values enrich my therapeutic approach, ensuring that my counselling is trauma-informed, inclusive, empathetic, and effective for clients from all backgrounds and experiences.
